Anggun has just released the new single “The good is back” as a gift to her Indonesian and Malaysian fans.
The track, written by the 43-year-old singer herself with Jérémy Poligné and Manon Romiti, has a different version in each country. In Malaysia, Anggun duets with Fazura and for Indonesia with Rossa.
Fazura is a Malaysian actress, singer, TV Host and VJ. She is one of the most stylish celebrities in Malaysian pop culture. Her debut album was released last year.
Rossa is one of the most popular artists in Indonesia. Her career began when she was only 9 and her album “Love, life & music” was very successful.
About her collaboration with Anggun, Rossa said: “She’s my idol. When I was a kid, I looked up to her as a diva and I can’t believe that we are now good friends.”
In an interview, Anggun spoke about her decision to release “The good is back” with two different artists: “I just did a recording duet with Shane Filan from Westlife group. But I apologize for not being able to spend as much free time as I can for my fans outside Europe.
My new single will be my gift for Indonesian and Malaysian fans there who have been most supportive and loving to me over the past few years”.
“The good is back” is the second single taken from the French-Indonesian star’s album “8”.
Her previous single “What we remember” got a great response especially in U.S where it reached number eight on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.
