Ashley Tisdale returns with “Voices in my head” – listen

Ashley Tisdale is back with her first song in nine years.
Titled “Voices in my head”, the new single was written by Ashley herself and produced by John Feldmann (5 Seconds of Summer, Panic! at the Disco, Good Charlotte).
It’s a track about her struggle to fight back insecurities that threaten a relationship.
“Voices in my head” will appear on the High School Musical alum’s third studio album “Symptoms”. The record comes after 2009’s “Guilty pleasure”, which debuted at number 12 on Billboard 200 spawning the singles “It’s alright, it’s ok” and “Crank it up”.

Lyrics:

I got these feelings I try to bury down
But they keep screamin’
And I’m just tryin’ to filter out somehow
But they don’t wanna leave (leave, leave)

No you don’t need it
All the jealousy and ugly feelings
Left from my history I try so hard
But they get the best of me

And you got every reason to walk out the door
But you rather be next to me

All the voices in my head
Always try to break me
Fuck me up and change me
But talking is cheap
This is the last time
I listen to the voices in my head
I know they never stop talking
Always sabotaging
But talking is cheap
This is the last time
I listen to the voices in my head

And when we’re fighting
They get in the way
And start a fire
But you never let us burn away
You’ve got me figured out

And you got every reason to walk out the door
But you rather be next to me (yeah)

All the voices in my head
Always try to break me
Fuck me up and change me
But talking is cheap
This is the last time
I listen to the voices in my head
I know they never stop talking
Always sabotaging
But talking is cheap
This is the last time
I listen to the voices in my head

They say that I’ll never be ready for love
They say that I never will feel like enough
Yeah, they lie to me
And they lie to you
But you know the truth is

They say that I’ll never be ready for love
They say that I never will feel like enough
Yeah, they lie to me
And they lie to you
But you know the truth is

And you got every reason to walk out the door
But you rather be next to me (yeah)

All the voices in my head
Always try to break me
Fuck me up and change me
But talking is cheap
This is the last time
I listen to the voices in my head
I know they never stop talking
Always sabotaging
But talking is cheap
This is the last time
I listen to the voices in my head
