Beyoncè has released the first standalone music video for “Sorry” from her latest album “Lemonade”.
The track, written and produced by Wynter Gordon, Sean “Melo-X” Rhoden and Beyoncé, was dubbed as the “most controversial song” on the album due to the alleged infidelity and “Becky with the good hair” discussed in the lyrics.
Shortly after the song dropped Beyonce’s fans attacked fashion designer Rachel Roy assuming she was Jay Z’s alleged mistress after she posted a suspicious Instagram post including a line from the song. Roy eventually deleted the post and responded to the drama saying in a statement that “Sorry” was not about her.
The black and white clip, directed by Dikayl Rimmasch, opens with Beyoncé reciting the poetry of British poet Warsan Shire.
Also the video features tennis sensation Serena Williams, which is seen dancing sexily as Queen Bey sits in a throne.
