Pip Brown, known by her stage name Ladyhawke, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
She has just released her third solo album “Wild things”, a catchy positive synthpop album.
New single is the title track, a delightfully synth-heavy uptempo pop ballad. It explores finding new love after heartbreak, and solidarity amongst friends, by setting the emotion against a “heartland” backdrop – “there’s a fire in the heartland / we dance it around it like the wild things in the night”.
The clip, directed by Youth Hymns and shot in London, is bathed in neon lights as the fiercest roller derby battle unfolds while Ladyhawke croons out her lyrics under the spotlight in the corner of the rink.
