Jona Lewie is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his 1980 UK hits “You’ll always find me in the kitchen at parties” and “Stop the cavalry”. This single hit the top five and became something of a Christmas standard in the U.K., where it was trotted out every holiday season and featured on numerous Christmas compilations.
After this success, Lewie released other singles but they were less lucky.
During the 1990s, the singer appeared with solo public performances on a 60-day UK tour as guest of The Blues Band while occasionally playing one-off gigs and taking part in occasional radio and television broadcasts.
In 2009, Lewie performed two songs at the London Ukulele Festival.
