It’s been nearly three years since 5 Seconds Of Summer released their second album “Sounds good feels good” and the long-awaited follow-up is finally on the horizon. The Australian pop-punk band announced a new album is coming soon with new single “Want you back” offering a hint at what’s to come.
The track, produced by Goldstein and Andrew Wells, tells the story of a lost love with its consequences.
About the song, Ashton said: “Our music means the world to me, I feel so connected to this new music. I wrote it for me, I wrote it for you, I wrote it for us!”.
The colourful and energetic music video that accompanies “Want you back” was directed by James Larese, who has previously worked with Fifth Harmony, Eminem and Imagine Dragons.
It features Luke, Calum, Michael and Ashton playing their instruments in cube-shaped rooms, lit in bright neon colors.
