American singer-songwriter Adam Lambert has just dropped a brand new song “Welcome to the show”, a dramatic pop ballad featuring Swedish star Laleh.
“I wanted to surprise my fans with a new, uplifting anthem for the spring,” the 34-year-old said in a statement. “I asked Max Martin for help and he paired me up with two great writers and producers; Ali Payami, who worked with me on ‘Ghost Town,’ and Swedish star Laleh who is also a featured vocalist on the track. I feel this song will give people strength to be exactly who they are.”
“Welcome to the show” debuted live on American Idol March 17, when the pop singer returned for the show’s final season. Lambert, of course, was the Idol runner-up in 2009.
