During last night’s Billboard Music Awards, Adele released the music video for her latest single off “25”, “Send my love (to your new lover)”.
The track was co-written with and produced by Swedish songwriter Max Martin and his fellow record producer, Shellback and features a more up-beat sound, than her two previous singles and sees the singer with a floral Dolce & Gabbana dress, dancing under a spectrum of colour.
The video was shot in London and directed by Patrick Daughters, who has previously worked on clips for bands like Muse and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. He explained the concept video: “Ghosts in this case are versions of ourselves that remain stuck at particular point in the past. So when Adele sings about letting go of all of our ghosts, I picture other versions of her that are in a different place than where she is now”.
Adele is currently in the middle of her world tour and will be on stage in Lisbon on Saturday and Sunday nights.
