She’s the breakthrough artist of the year… she’s Billie Eilish!
The acclaimed 17-year old pop star has just released her debut album “When we all fall asleep, where do we go?” and the opening track “Bad guy” has now a music video.
The song, written by Billie herself with brother/collaborator Finneas, is a pop-trap tune that contains dark electronic elements.
Speaking about it, Eilish said: “The initial idea for the song is, like, people who have to tell everybody that they are a certain way all the time? They’re not that certain way. In general, I feel like you will never catch a bad bitch telling everyone she’s a bad bitch. It’s on—it’s you. If you’re going around all the time saying, like, ‘Yeah, I’m bad, I’m always breaking rules and doing this and doing that.’ You’re not. I know that because I used to say that and I wasn’t. Bad kids, bad boys, bad bitches, whatever, they do that shit and they don’t even know”.
The surreal music video was directed by Dave Meyes (Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello) and it features the singer suffering a bloody nose, boredly feeding pigeons and dancing wildly.
“Bad guy” follows the singles “Wish you were gay”, “Bury a friend” and “You should me see in a crown”.
