It may not be the Christmas album we’ve been all hoping but at least this will make Katy Perry’s fans a little bit happier this holiday season.
The singer has teamed up with British DJ Duke Dumont for new festive outing “Every day is a holiday”, which has been recorded to coincide with Katy being the new face of H&M for Christmas.
Perry will also star in a brand new advert which is scheduled to be played across TV from November 23, according to Glamour magazine.
The track was also co-written by her frequent collaborator Dr Luke, meaning we could be in store for a classic pop anthem with a dance twist tailored for the holiday season.
The 31-year-old first revealed she was recording a Christmas song back in August, with some rather festive-themed Instagram snaps from the studio.
Katy Perry’s Christmas music will be the first new material from the star since her 2013 album “Prism”, which spawned the singles “Roar”, “Unconditionally”, “Dark horse”, “Birthday” and “This is how we do”.
Meanwhile, the star recently wrapped up her ‘Prismatic World Tour’ with a huge show in Costa Rica.
She will now take a bit of time off before pushing forward with her next studio album.
