British alternative pop artist Dan Black has unveiled a video for his recent comeback track “Headphones”.
It’s the lead single from his sophomore album “Do not revenge”, which is scheduled to be released sometime this year.
The new LP will feature 12 songs.
Directed by Chic & Artistic (Kaskade, Nicole Miller), the clip for “Headphones” was shot in Kiev during a chilly night.
“I literally spent years locked in my headphones making this album” Black said about the song “but also it’s about how we all are constantly being pulled into technology – usually away from people. I’m not saying that’s all bad, but it comes with a cost. It’s glorious how intense I was about it, but also slightly sad.”

Lyrics:

I woke up in any
Nobody but me
I got up, walked down
Onto empty streets

I melted in a cloud
You melted in a sound
‘Cos I’ve been living in my headphones, for too long
Living like to headphones, for too long

I woke up, I couldn’t move
Traffic below
I reached out, I reached in
Nowhere else left to go

I melted in a cloud
You melted in a sound
‘Cos I’ve been living in my headphones, for too long
Living love to headphones, for too long

Wait for too
Wait for, wait for

I melted in a crowd
You melted in a sound

‘Casue I’ve been living in my headphones, for too long
Living in my headphones, for too long

Living in, in my head for too long
(I’ve been living)
Living in, in my head
(In my head, head, head)
For too long
