’80s pop icon Duran Duran have just released the music video for “Last night in the city” on the one year anniversary of the release of their album “Paper gods”.
The track, which features fiery-haired pop star Kiesza, has a video directed by Nick Egan and Snorri Bros.
The clip depicts the band playing the song to a stadium crowd, amidst neon lights, and edited footage of New York City streets and landmarks.
“They’re, like, legends” Kiesza says about the surprise collaboration. “It’s taking one of the most legendary bands from the ‘80s but, like, putting them into current times” she adds. “And they’re just a classic band and some of the best music was written in the ‘80s, I think. They’re just a great band to check out and I hope that this leads people to explore some more of their music.”
