Eleni Foureira is a Greek singer, actress, dancer, and fashion designer. She represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with her song “Fuego”.
The dance pop track was composed by Alex Papaconstantinou, a Swedish producer and songwriter best known for co-writing a number of songs in various Eurovision Song Contest such as “Yassou Maria” by Sarbel, “Always” by Aysel and Arash and “La la love” by Ivi Adamou.
Born in 1987, Foureira began her music career in 2007 as a member of the group Mystique. The girl band released a few singles but split up in 2009.
The following year Eleni released her first solo album where she became known in both Cyprus and Greece. Her single “Chica bomb”, a collaboration with Dan Balan, became a summer hit that year.
In 2017, the young artist achieved international success with the song “Send for me”, another collaboration, this time with the successful producer and rapper A.M. Snipe. Beyond her musical career, Eleni has also been a judge in the Greek version of So You Think You Can Dance.
