It’s time to meet Andrea, a Macedonian singer-songwriter who will represent North Macedonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy with the song “Circles”.
Born as Andrea Koevska in Skopje, the young artist was noticed by producer Aleksandar Masevski thanks to videos of herself singing covers on social media.
Major influences include Lauryn Hill and Pararmore’s Hayley Williams. In an interview, she said “I listened to gospel and R&B when I was very young. So, what I think happened was I tried to do everything they did, and somehow managed to learn something. I listened to pop, I listened to pop punk, so I absorbed a lot of things”.
Eurovision’s entry “Circles” was co-written by Andrea and Masevski. It tells the story of a relationship on the edge of collapse.
