English singer, songwriter, actor and The Wanted former member, Max George has just released his brand new single “Hate you”.
The new song was written by Max himself alongside Liam Dowell and Anglo-Italian lyricist Olivia Sebastianelli, who worked with many artists including Kylie Minogue, Little Mix and Sam Feldt.
Despite its title, the single has an upbeat sound, so get ready to play it on repeat. It talks about a lost love where there’s no hate, just struggle to let go of someone you cares.
“Hate you” follows the singles “Till I met you” and “That’s not me”.

Lyrics:

Our silence is golden
Now I feel like a ghost just floating
No longer important
You meant the most to me in nowhere

You didn’t tear my heart right out, no
I never lay with no one else, no
We didn’t even shout that loud but we broke somehow
There’s no blame to splinter out now

I wish I had a reason to hate you
And maybe then it wouldn’t be this hard to separate you
We fell in, didn’t fall out
We stood by, watched it break down, oh
I wish I had a reason to hate you, but I don’t

But I don’t
But I don’t
We fell in, didn’t fall out
We stood by, watched it break down, oh
I wish I had a reason to hate you, but I don’t

Sometimes I, I wonder
If you’d hurt me I’d feel better
And if you’d let me down
It’d be easier to let you go now

You didn’t tear my heart right out, no
I never lay with no one else, no
We didn’t even shout that loud but we broke somehow
There’s no blame to splinter out now

I wish I had a reason to hate you
And maybe then it wouldn’t be this hard to separate you
We fell in, didn’t fall out
We stood by, watched it break down, oh
I wish I had a reason to hate you, but I don’t

But I don’t
But I don’t
We fell in, didn’t fall out
We stood by, watched it break down, oh
I wish I had a reason to hate you, but I don’t

I wish I had a reason to hate you, but I don’t
