Swiss entry Gjon’s Tears is a favorite to win this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Born as Gjon Muharremaj, he started singing at an early age competing at the first season of Albanians Got Talent.
In 2012, just a year later, he reached the semi-final of the Swiss version of the same show.
Gjon’s debut single “Babi” went to number one in Albania.
Noteworthy releases are “Back in light”, an English-language song, and “Répondez-moi”, selected for Eurovision 2020.
Muharremaj’s entry “Tout l’univers” was composed by the singer himself alongside Nina Sampermans, Xavier Michel and Wouter Hardy. The latter produced Duncan Laurence’s winning song “Arcade“.
About “Tout l’univers”, Gjon said: “It was important for us to keep hope in this particularly difficult time: we must not give up and we must stay strong. With love, friendship, strength and courage, we can rebuild our future”.
