“Sweet creature” is the second official single. It’s a folk ballad written by Harry himself with Thomas Hull, an English singer-songwriter and musician (Shawn Mendes, Florence + The Machine, Years & Years).
The song, which was premeried yesterday on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio, is about a young couple facing difficulties in their relationship.
Harry’s self-titled debut album is due for release on May 12.
It was recorded in Jamaica and was produced by Jeff Bhasker, whose other credits include Kanye West on “808s & heartbreaks” (2008) and “My beautiful dark twisted fantasy” (2010), as well as Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Drake, Jay Z, The Rolling Stones and many more.
“I didn’t want to put out my first album and be like, ‘He’s tried to re-create the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s, ’90s,” the young singer said. “Loads of amazing music was written then, but I’m not saying I wish I lived back then. I wanted to do something that sounds like me. I just keep pushing forward.”
