Welsh singer-songwriter Cally Rhodes has just released a new single and we are totally addicted to it!
“Downfalls” is an honest, heartfelt and catchy, upbeat pop song about apologising to an ex for
actions made during a past relationship.
Written and co-produced by Cally herself and mixed by Toby Scott (Little Mix, Gorgon City, Girls Aloud), the track follows the singles “Sad songs” with Italian dj-producer Dualities and “Too close”.
With “Downfalls”, the beautiful Ceredigion-born artist continues her climb to success in pop music even though she has already opened for Louise Redknapp and performed in Pride events and in an 8-date UK tour.
Cally is currently busy in the studio working on future singles with some fantastic producers including Toby Scott and Sky Adams (Kylie Minogue, Doja Cat, Will Young).
Lyrics:
Back then
When I used to know you
Call you every nighttime
I get a little bit sad in love
But I feel nostalgic for all that we once had
And I know that I broke your trust
But I feel so lonely ’cause nobody knows me
Like you
You know I don’t mean to make it worse
Carry my issue like it’s a curse
But you
Could be the one who can find a cure
Won’t treat you like before
I remember back then when I used to know you
Call you every nighttime
Use you as my lifeline
Now it’s only missed calls
Showed you all my worst flaws
Baby, I’m so sorry
Please accept my downfalls
Please accept my downfalls
Please accept my downfalls
Did I run when it got too much?
Only show you my problems
‘Cause nobody knows them
Pull you close so I’d feel your touch
Leave you at the bottom
Can’t fix what I’ve broken
For you
You know I don’t mean to make it worse
Carry my issue like it’s a curse
But you
Could be the one who can find a cure
Won’t treat you like before
I remember back then
When I used to know you
Call you every nighttime
Use you as my lifeline
Now it’s only missed calls
Showed you all my worst flaws
Baby, I’m so sorry
Please accept my downfalls
Please accept my downfalls
Please accept my downfalls
I’m alone and it hurts
But I do it to myself
When I know I’m to blame
I pretend I’m someone else
‘Cause I overthink and I get all crazy
I’m vulnerable and missing you lately
I’m so lost that I’m not over you
Please accept my downfalls
Please accept my downfalls
Please accept my downfalls
I remember back then
When I used to know you
Call you every nighttime
Use you as my lifeline
Now it’s only missed calls
Showed you all my worst flaws
Baby, I’m so sorry
Please accept my downfalls
