Cypriot artist Hovig presented the song that he will perform at the Eurovision song contest 2017 in Kiev, Ukraine: “Gravity”.
Previously, the singer took part in the second season of “The X Factor Greece” finishing in seventh place.
After this experience, he competed to represent Cyprus in the Eurovision song contest on two occasions: in 2010 with “Goodbye” and in 2015 with “Stone in a river”.
“Gravity” was written by Thomas G:son alongside Hovig himself. Thomas G:son was also behind Minus One‘s entry “Alter ego” last year in Stockholm and has a couple of songs competing at the Eurovision song contest including Loreen’s 2012 winner song “Euphoria”.
Recorded last month, the clip for “Gravity” was filmed by Aimilio Avraam featuring assistance from photographer Sofroni Sofroniou, costume director Noti Panagiotou and artistic director Charis Savva.
It features a dancer, Natalia Michail as Hovig’s love interest. They appears side-by-side completing intricate choreography; all of which links in with a gravity concept.
