After five brilliant singles, British singer-songwriter Jessie Ware releases her fourth studio album “What’s your pleasure?”.
Ware’s new effort is an intriguing collection of disco, funky songs with an eye to the 80’s. A genre that has seen the success of The Weeknd and Dua Lipa’s latest projects.
It features production from Benji B, Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford, Midland, Metronomy’s Joseph Mount and Matthew Tavares.
“I needed to kickstart a love affair with music [again]” said Jessie about the album. “I came off tour and thought, “I need something more in my live shows”. I needed to listen to my fans. I’d made this slow, confessional record, but maybe people wanted something else from me. And that’s fine! I wanted to do that too. I needed to do something different, to test myself. And I needed to enjoy making the music again”.
“What’s my pleasure?” was preceded by the release of lead single “Adore you”. The sultry banger was followed by the release of “Mirage (don’t stop)”, “Spotlight”, “Ooh la la” and “Save a kiss”.
