Just one month after Lady Gaga collaboration “Sour candy”, Blackpink are ready to delight us with a new smash hit “How you like that”.
The track, written by Teddy and Danny Chung, and produced by Teddy, R.Tee and 24, is a powerful pop tune with some hip-hop elements.
It serves as a pre-single from girl band’s upcoming studio album, set for release in September.
The long awaited project will be preceded by a second new single in July or August with solo music in the works for later this year.
Speaking on “How you like that”, Rosé said “It’s really calm in the beginning, with some depressing words. But it turns around after the first hook — which is almost like how a cat suddenly changes its mind”.
The music video sees the girls dancing in electrifying choreographies.
Blackpink will perform “How you like that” for the first time on NBC’s Jimmy Fallon show tonight.
