Polish singer, songwriter and dancer Kasia Mos has been chosen to represent her country at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
The electro soul artist was crowned winner during the final of Krajowe Eliminacje 2017 with the song “Flashlight”.
Born into a musical family, Kasia Mos began her music career very soon working with ensembles such as, among others, Stetsons and Big Band Lotharsi, as well as with the group The Fire.
More recently she was part of The Pussycat Dolls Burlesque Review show and came third in the third series of the Polish version of Must Be the Music.
“Flashlight” was written by Kasia herself with Pete Baringger and Rickard Bonde Truumeel. It talks about a forbidden love between two lovers and their unbreakable bond. The music video sees the beautiful singer half-naked.
Last year, Poland was represented by Michał Szpak, with the song “Color of your life” and reached the 8th position in the final.
Lyrics:
Like a bullet from a smoking gun
They try to tell us that we don’t belong
Creeping round at the depth of night
Just two shadows in love we were ghosts
Two hearts we’re invincible
When we’re together we’re untouchable
Haunted by if it’s wrong or right
Shadows in love we were ghosts
Fire, like a burning desire,
Taking me higher,
walk in a wire,
We will never come down
It’s like s flashlight burning in our eyes
You call the dogs off, I got them hypnotized
You never catch us, take us by suprise
Running faster at the speed of light
Falling deeper got you in the sight
Bringing down your eyes in the sky
Like two animals on the run
Not afraid to fly into the sun
Invisible we don’t leave a trace
We’re shadows in love we were ghosts
Fire, like a burning desire,
Taking me higher,
walk in a wire,
We will never come down
It’s like s flashlight burning in our eyes
You call the dogs off, I got them hypnotized
You never catch us, take us by suprise
Running faster at the speed of light
Falling deeper got you in a sight
Bringing down your eyes in the sky
