Music superstar Katy Perry has just released her new single and music video for “Daisies”, which is is the lead single off of Perry’s upcoming sixth studio album.
The track was produced by The Monsters & Strangerz, an American production and songwriting team who worked with Maroon 5, Selena Gomez and Camila Cabello.
About the meaning behind the song, the 35 year old artist said: “It’s a song for all of the dreams you’ve been dreaming about, and all the things you wanna achieve, and maybe you’ve had a lot of time to reflect. We’ve had a lot of time to reflect and think about possibly what we took for granted in the past and how we’ll change for the future”. “This song is kind of about doing that, about going and getting your dreams, and not letting anyone or anything stand in your way” she added.
Katy Perry will perform “Daisies” for the first time on TV during the eighteenth season finale of American Idol on May 17.
