Singer, songwriter and actress Kerri Medders has just released a music video for her emotional ballad “Morning coffee”. The track is the third single taken from her EP “Etched” released last November.
About the video, Kerri said: “We all have this angelic side that represents the good, but in reality, relationships are emotional. I think about the people I’ve met over time and if they’re thinking, ‘Wow, I wonder what she is up to now…,’ which is a feeling we all relate to.”
She added: “The video is such a great representation of emotion and I am so excited for you guys to see it!”
Lyrics:
I wasted my feelings.
Wasted my time.
God only knows
Your wrong and I’m right.
Wasted my tears
And tired my lungs.
Gave all my hopes up
thinking you’re the one.
It’s okay if I’m not
The girl of your dreams
The one you call in the middle
of the night to set yourself free.
I just want to be the girl.
You think about twenty years from now.
While you’re staring at your morning coffee
And it reminds you of me, somehow.
Cursed your name
Screamed Till’ I cried.
The devil brought you to me
In your darkest frame of mind
Maybe you’re with her
Maybe your not
I just gave you my heart
And you broke it from the start.
It’s okay if I’m not
The girl of your dreams
The one you call in the middle
of the night to set yourself free.
I just want to be the girl.
You think about twenty years from now.
While you’re staring at your morning coffee
And it reminds you of me, somehow.
Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh.
Oh life’s a shame.
I gave you everything
and all you gave me was a broken memory.
Oh, love’s a game. I begged
and I pleaded but all I felt was bein’ defeat.
It’s okay if I’m not
The girl of your dreams
The one you call in the middle of
the night to set yourself free.
I just want to be the girl.
You think about twenty years from now.
While you’re staring at your morning coffee
And it reminds you of me, somehow.
