The Killers have just released the music video for their latest single “The man”. It’s the first new song in five years and comes from their forthcoming fifth studio album “Wonderful wonderful”.
The video, which was directed by Tim Mattia (Coldplay, Muse, Florence and the machine), sees frontman Brandon Flowers plays various types of men including a cowboy, an Elvis-style entertainer and a tuxedo-clad Bond type.
“Wonderful wonderful” is expected later this year.
It was recorded in studios between Las Vegas and Los Angeles with producer Garret “Jacknife” Lee, who had previously worked with U2, R.E.M and Jake Bugg.
The album features contributions from Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler for a guitar part on track “Have all the songs been written?”. Additionally, Flowers wrote “Some kind of love” over a song by Brian Eno.
