Lady Gaga’s “Perfect illusion” music video is finally here!
The clip, premiered during the season two premiere of “Scream queens” on FOX, was directed by Ruth Hogben and Andrea Gelardin.
It sets in a desert outside Los Angeles and shows Gaga performing onstage before a huge crowd in cut-off jeans and a black t-shirt.
“Perfect illusion” is the lead single from singer’s new album entitled “Joanne”, which will be released on Oct. 21.
The singer further revealed that the album serves as a tribute to her late aunt, Joanne, who died of lupus at the young age of 19. Gaga can also count “Joanne” as one of her middle names, and her father’s New York restaurant is named after his late sister. The singer also posted the album artwork to Twitter in anticipation for it’s release.
In a Thursday interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Gaga revealed that she would be finishing the album before the weekend. She also said that she had worked with songwriter Hillary Lindsey, who was behind Carrie Underwood’s “Jesus, Take the Wheel” on her upcoming album, in addition to Beck, Mark Ronson, Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, Florence Welch, Father John Misty, Giorgio Moroder, Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, as well as producers RedOne and BloodPop.
