Mika has just announced his fifth studio album “My name is Michael Holbrook” set for release October 4.
First single is “Ice cream”, a summery catchy track produced by Mark Crew, Dan Priddy & Daniel Black.
“It was written on a day of extreme heat” said Mika in a statement. “It was the last few weeks of writing for the album; a writing period that lasted two years. Through the writing I had confronted personal, serious and at times painful issues, now I felt lighter and freer”.
“The song is a daydream fantasy. Like a heat mirage, and makes me feel like anything is possible” he added.
Following the release of the album, Mika is also heading for an European tour.
“Ice cream” follows previous singles “Sound of an orchestra” and “It’s my house“.
