Samantha Mumba is an Irish singer and actress, best known for the hit “Gotta tell you”.
She started her music career at fifteen when was discovered by Louis Walsh (manager of Boyzone and Westlife).
In 2000, her first single “Gotta tell you” was an immediate hit in Ireland, United Kingdom and the United States. The album “Gotta tell you” stayed on the charts for six months and spawned other five singles (“Body II body”, “Always come back to your love”, “Baby come on over”, “Don’t need you to” and “Lately”).

A couple years later, Samantha released a new single “I’m right here” which was meant to be the lead-off from her second album but the album never came to be. She transitioned into TV and film, landing roles in 2002’s “The time machine” and 2003’s “Spin the bottle”.
In more recent years, Mumba announced her return to music on Twitter in 2013 and released a new single “Only just begun“, which failed to chart.
