American alternative rock band Ok Go have released “Upside down & inside out” as third single from 2014 album “Hungry ghosts”. The video, shot in one take and in zero gravity without the use of green screens, animation or wires, see the band floating around the cabin of an airplane.
“It was nearly a decade ago that the world started buzzing about commercial space travel and exploration. When I heard about Virgin Galactic and Space X, it dawned on me that soon enough, people will be making art in space. So for years, we’ve been looking for the opportunity to make a weightless video. I mean, what could be more thrilling than astronaut training?” said frontman Damian Kulash.
Ok Go are known for their creative but often low-budget music videos, most of which have become viral such as “Here it goes again” and “Here it goes again“.
