American country music singer and songwriter Kenny Chesney announced he will release the song “Setting the world on fire”, a duet with pop star Pink, as his second single from “Cosmic hallelujah”.
Partially recorded at Rick Rubin’s Malibu studio, the track is a mid-tempo tune that explores the emotions of falling in love.
“You can’t conjure a song that captures that feeling of being on the brink like this does” Chesney says in a press release. “The lyrics are a perfect way of saying it, but when you feel that melody rise, the arrangement picking up momentum — it’s bigger than you are, and all you want to do is throw yourself against the night.
“Cosmic hallelujah” is now due out on Oct. 28.
