Sia released the music video for the first single from her new album “This is acting”.
The clip for “Alive”, directed by Daniel Askill and Sia, features a young child, Mahiro Takano from Japan, practicing martial arts while wearing the black-and-white wig that’s come to be associated with Sia’s latest project.
Like the video for “Chandelier”, Sia uses a proxy performer and doesn’t appear in the music video at all.
“Alive” was originally written for Adele, and Sia has said that the track was written from the British singer’s perspective, which is in keeping with the rest of “This is acting”. It’s comprised fully of songs intended for other artists.
