The Prodigy singer Keith Flint was found dead at his Essex home on Monday morning. He was 49.
Flint killed himself by hanging, according to current members Liam Howlett and Leeroy Thornhill.
In an emotional statement on the band’s Instagram page, they said: “The news is true, I can’t believe I’m saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend. I’m shell shocked, f**kin angry, confused and heart broken ….. r.i.p brother Liam #theprodigy”.
Born Keith Charles Flint in Redbridge, London on September 17th, 1969, he joined The Prodigy as a dancer, later becoming the voice and face of the group. Aside from their 1992 debut, all of the group’s seven albums have reached number one in the UK, the most recent being “No tourists“, released in November 2018.
