One of 2016’s most mysterious electro pop tunes now has a video. The clip for “True disaster”, directed by Tim Erem, is part of a short film called “Fairy dust” featuring music from “Lady wood” album.
It opens with Tove Lo emerging from a car that’s been doused with gasoline by an unidentified woman. The Swedish singer gets out and the rest of the song is a back and forth between her desire to run, and the attraction of the fatal girl. In the end Tove Lo runs, only to find the exact same scene – crashed cars and the girl – waiting for her down the street.
“True disaster”, written by Tove Lo along with Oscar Holter, was premiered live at the VMA Pre-Party. It’s a song about an internal battle waging inside the singer.
In addition to the music video’s release, Tove Lo also announced her first North American tour in 2017. The 11-city “Lady wood tour” opens February 6th in Seattle, and wraps up in Washington, DC on February 24th.
