This year is the 10th anniversary of My Chemical Romance’s “Black parade” release. Twenty One Pilots pay homage covering the track “Cancer”.
The song is taken from “Rock sound presents: ‘The Black Parade'”, which comes with every physical copy of the new issue of Rock Sound.
For their version of the track, the “Stressed Out” duo switch the original’s piano for a twitchy, hip-hop-influenced beat.
Other artists contributing to the tribute album include Asking Alexandria, Escape the Fate and New Years Day.
Meanwhile, My Chemical Romance are prepping their 10th anniversary deluxe reissue of The Black Parade, which includes a second disc housing unreleased demos and outtakes called Living With Ghosts. The reissue is due on September 23rd via Warner Bros.
