It could be 2016 UK Christmas number one. We’re talking about “One day I’ll fly away” by Vaults.
British synthpop band have released a delicate cover of 1980 Randy Crawford’s hit.
The track, which was used in this year’s John Lewis Christmas advert, features of the Vaults’ debut studio album “Caught in still life”.
The video sees frontwoman Blythe performing a balletic dance alone in front of a mirror. She is then joined by numerous other dancers with costumes that recall those seen in Leonardo Da Vinci’s painting ‘The last supper’.
“Caught in still life” is out now.
