Anouck, known by her stage name Nuuxs, is a French born singer-songwriter.
Influenced by Tarantino soundtracks and Lo-Fi beats, the alternative pop artist has been compared to Erykah Badu, Roisin Murphy and FKA Twigs.
Her musical career began writing hooks for grime artists that she went to school with. But Nuuxs’ life changed thanks to super music producer, songwriter and manager Jake Gosling (Ed Sheearan, James Bay, Lady Gaga).
2016 was the year of “Holy man”, her debut single. It attracted attention and gained Spotify and BBC Introducing support. And then several singles and two EPs “The cry” and “Pearl”, released last year.
Now, Nuuxs returns with a brand new single “No good for me”.
Speaking of the new single, the French singer said: “‘No Good For Me’ is a new direction for me in the sense of vibe, it’s about my experience of negative people and inspired by the power of a woman’s mind and body”.
“We’re often made to feel guilty or hurt by other people’s insecurities and reciprocate that negativity. I was in the studio with my producer and the melodies just flowed with the lyrics coming naturally after that. This single for me is about being empowered and standing up for yourself” she added.
