Alex Cartañá is a British singer-songwriter and actress of Spanish origin.
Born in 1983, she grew up in Mallorca but soon decided to leave the island to focus on studying performing arts in the UK.
In 2003, Alex signed a recording contract and lent her vocals to Lee-Cabrera’s latin-dance single “Shake it (move a little closer)”, which was a top twenty hit on the UK singles chart.
Her first solo single “Hey Papi” came just one year later but it failed to chart. Difficulties with EMI drove the blonde artist to walk away from her deal.
Since then, she concentrated on acting featuring in different tv series as “Goth girl” in 2010 and “Kat loves LA” in 2018.
Also, she appeared in various commercials in both North and South America, for companies such as Pampers, Hewlett Packard, Samsung and Fisher Price.
Recently, Cartañá released a new track “A Disney Junior Party” taken from “Disney Junior Music Dance Party! The Album”.
