Since very young, Tyler James always wanted to be famous and attended the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School in Marble Arch, London, England. This is the same school that has brought luck to other celebrities such as Adele, Dua Lipa and Amy Winehouse. Just the latter became his best friend. They also lived together for a time.
First single was r&b-flavored song “Why do I do?”, a top 30 in UK.
Between 2004 and 2013, Tyler released two studio albums and several singles including Steve Winwood’s cover of “Higher love”.
Important was his participation on the BBC TV show The Voice UK where he placed 3rd.
In recent years, Tyler James starred in “Amy”, a documentary film about Amy Winehouse. Always remembering his late friend, he published “My Amy: The life we shared” in 2021.
