Swedish pop star Zara Larsson has just shared the music video for her new single “Ain’t my fault”.
The urban track, written by Markus Sepehrmanesh, MNEK & Zara Larsson, is the lead single from her upcoming second studio album.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1, Zara stated that the song was written in a few spare hours with MNEK and was never meant to be a single. “The first version of the song was written about stealing another girl’s boyfriend but when her record label and management fell in love with the track, Zara quickly rushed back into the studio to change all that”. In fact Larsson did not want to promote rivalry between girls so she changed the lyrics a bit.
The stylish video follows the singer and her all-female crew as they transform an empty mansion into a dance party.
